microbat inspections
The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) have 20 species of bats listed as Threatened in the state. Many of these species roost and breed in human-made structures like bridges, culverts, roof spaces and derelict buildings. If your development impacts one of these structures you will most likely require a Project Ecologist to conduct a pre-clearing inspection to confirm the presence or absence of threatened bat species. Narla’s ecologists are experienced at searching for, identifying and handling/ relocating bats and as such we are regularly engaged to conduct microbat inspections prior to construction works for our clients.
